What is a storytelling show built around "SPIRITS IN THE NIGHT?"
"Spirits In The Night" is the title of a song written by Bruce Springsteen in 1973 when he was 23 years old. The song gets into that experience we've all had. You know the one... when we still had one foot in our childhood, but one night we stepped out over the line with our tribe and took that first forbidden taste of adult life.
On Tuesday March 10, five MyPath storytellers will present personal stories about that moment in their lives.
Each story will be around 7 minutes long and will re-connect all who listen with their own "Spirits In The Night" story.
Interspersed among the stories will be original acoustical songs from
MyPath the Musical
written by Roger Batton
Ryan Van Plew-Cid
Noted sideman, expert mixologist and purveyor of rare, collectible books.
After the show, Roger will open up the stage for an Open Mic for audience members to share their own
Spirits In the Night stories.
Presenting.... Scott Curtis
Scott brings laughter to every stage he steps on.
About Scott Curtis... he started his comedy career at age 50 because he's the latest bloomer ever. Comedy became a new awakening for him. He's performed from Michigan to Alabama and has met people who have become life-long friends. Being funny is the greatest. Friends are even better.
Presenting... Tim Moore
Self employed house flipper. Married for over 23 years with a daughter who goes to U of M. Go blue! I believe the only true measure of wealth is the quality of life shared with great people, family, friends and a strong relationship with your creator. Life is meant to lived to the fullest. I love passionate people with a different view and the conviction to back up what they say. I want to know what your ikigai is. Japanese word meaning -your purpose for getting up in the morning.
Presenting... Lorelei Siddall
Lorelei Siddall is a woman who wears many hats- mom, wife, race director, bank employee, wedding officiant, yard care tech, and adventurer. She approaches life with far more enthusiasm and far less training than recommended, but it makes for some great stories. She lives in South Bend with her spouse, two sons, and two spoiled rescue dogs.
Current hobbies include training for an ultramarathon and breaking generational cycles.
Presenting... Maxwell Tidey
Coming from an area just as confused as the rest of us (Michigan + Indiana = “Michiana”), Max Tidey projects his unique perspectives on anyone who is willing to listen. Having aspirations of being an entertainer for as long as he could remember, Max made his way to the nearest comedy club once he was of age. In 2 short years Max became one of the house managers at The Drop Comedy Club, and found himself working with touring comics from all over the country every weekend. Max produces several shows in South Bend Indiana and surrounding areas. Bringing fresh technicality to his writing and charming energy to the stage, Max stands up to comedy by being himself in the best and worst of ways.
